Project DIYW-ROAD: Digital Youth Work – rights sensitive, open, accessible and democratic

Digital transformation is a process that affects the whole of society – the economy, the state, politics, civil society or the environment. In order to empower young people to go beyond ‘catching up’ or ‘getting to know’ digital infrastructures and technologies, a pedagogy of ‘the digital’ is needed that supports them to co-determine how digitalisation should evolve in terms of democratic and sustainable development and in the areas in which they are civically engaged. Education for Democratic Citizenship/Human Rights Education can make a meaningful contribution to digital youth work.

Tool: Training Design Step-by-Step

This tool supports educators in designing competence-oriented learning processes – with a focus on transversal competences that are relevant in many areas of life and social roles. Supplement to the guidelines for educators: Empowering Adults: Life, Career Path, and Active Citizen. Created in the project LICEAL Linking Citizenship and Employability Perspectives in Adult Learning.

With practical checklists. Available in English and German (Italian, French and Spanish translations will be published by early 2025).

SALTO Participation Resource Pool

SALTO created a new Participation Resource Pool in order to open trainers, youth workers, youth leaders and educators access to the up-to-date online tools, materials and newest trendbest practices, up-to-date training materials and hands-on tools. Among others, visitors find here a Resource Pool and a Flagship Projects Collection. The projects in the collection are not simply presented in a classic manner, but in an editorially prepared form.
